Welcome! This summer, I'll be studying abroad in Japan at Kanazawa Institute of Technology. Students from UIUC, Rose-Hulman, and RIT all participate in KIT's Intensive Program in Japanese for Science and Technology (IJST) over the course of about 6 and a half weeks. I'm under the impression that there are three classes--language, technical language, and cultural.
Changes this year include a lack of overnight homestay and the removal of the project component of the class where you team up with a Japanese student to build something and give a presentation. I'm actually happy about that one. ^-^" Instead, we get to participate in club activities once a week.
I'll try to update with useful information and hopefully will include links to pictures and things. It's getting late so I'll keep it short. Hope you enjoy!
